TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short:We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on your role (Guest, Host, Agent, or Buyer), how you interact with our platform, and the features you use. We organize personal data into the following categories:
Account Information: Your full name, email address, phone number, login details, profile photo, and company or real estate agency affiliation (for hosts, managers, and organizations).
Identity Verification Data: Identity documents, details shown on them (including date of birth), national identity numbers where applicable, and selfie or liveness images and results. We do not require your date of birth to register. Verification may establish your age and identity for features that require it. The providers involved are described below.
Financial & Billing Data: Billing details, payment references, and transaction history. Payment providers such as Paystack process payment details and return payment status and related information to us. Purchases made through Apple or Google are also subject to their payment and privacy terms.
Payout and Refund Information: Bank account number, bank name, account holder name, and payment references needed to send earnings or refunds.
Marketplace Activity and Communications: Listings, saved properties, reviews, messages, viewing appointments, rental applications, bookings, and support requests. This includes photos, documents, and other information you choose to submit for those features.
Sensitive Information. Facial liveness and matching checks help confirm that a real person is completing verification and that their face matches their identity evidence. These checks involve facial images and biometric analysis. Verification information is used to assess identity, eligibility, and fraud risk; it is not part of our optional advertising measurement.
Payment Providers. Payment providers process information needed to complete your payment, verify the transaction, and prevent fraud. You can read Paystack's privacy notice here: Paystack Privacy Policy.
Social Media & SSO Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing third-party account details, like your Google, Apple, Facebook, or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the authentication provider, as described in the section called below.
Application Data. If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:
Location Information. With your device permission, we use your location when you use features such as nearby property search or property-location verification. You can also enter an address or choose a location on a map. The mobile app does not continuously track your location in the background. You can change location permission in your device settings; location-dependent features may then be unavailable.
Photos, Documents, and Camera. We receive the files you select for profiles, listings, applications, messages, support, or verification. Camera access is used when you choose a feature that captures a photo or completes a verification check.
Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.
These permissions support the features you choose to use. Allowing camera, location, or notification access does not enable optional analytics or marketing measurement.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In Short:Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We receive technical information when you use Hauslet, such as your IP address, browser or app version, device type, operating system, and request times, to operate and secure the service. Optional analytics and marketing measurement are described separately in section 4 and depend on your choices. Technical and usage information can be linked to your device or account; it is not necessarily anonymous.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.
The information we collect includes:
Log and Usage Data.Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called 'crash dumps'), and hardware settings).
Device Data. We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.
Location Data. An IP address can indicate an approximate location. Precise device location comes from location-enabled features used with your permission, rather than from your IP address. Addresses and map locations you provide may also form part of a listing, search, application, or verification record.
Information collected when you use our Social & Third-Party Logins
When you log in using social or SSO providers (such as Google, Apple, or Facebook), we access basic account profile information provided by the platform, such as your name, email address, and profile picture URL. For more information regarding permissions, refer to the privacy policies of the respective providers (such as Google User Data Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, or Facebook Permissions Reference).
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short:We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about our products and services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
To enable user-to-user communications. We may process your information if you choose to use any of our offerings that allow for communication with another user.
To send you marketing and promotional communications. We may process the personal information you send to us for our marketing purposes, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. You can opt out of our marketing emails at any time. For more information, see below.
To protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.
To understand product use and campaign results. Subject to your privacy choices and the regional defaults below, we measure how people use Hauslet and which campaigns lead to visits, registrations, or purchases. These choices are separate from promotional messages and personalized offers.
To comply with our legal obligations. We may process your information to comply with our legal obligations, respond to legal requests, and exercise, establish, or defend our legal rights.
3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
In Short:We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.
Sharing depends on the service and your choices. We share information to provide the features you use, process payments, verify identities, and protect the marketplace. Optional analytics and marketing measurement involve the additional sharing described in section 4. Those choices are separate from the information needed to provide your requested service.
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations and with the following categories of service providers:
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
Identity, Business, and Property Verification. We use Dojah for supported identity-record checks, including Nigerian national identity checks, and receive verification results and relevant identity details. Amazon Web Services (AWS) processes facial capture and identity images for liveness and face-matching checks. Google AI services help read and assess submitted identity, business, address, and property documents and images. Hauslet reviewers may also examine this evidence and the results when assessing a verification request.
Maps and Address Search. Map and address providers, including Google Places and geocoding services, may receive search terms, addresses, or coordinates needed to find and display a location. Map providers may also receive technical information such as your IP address when loading map content.
Payments and Service Providers. Payment, banking, hosting, storage, customer-support, email, and notification providers process information needed to deliver those services. We also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, disputes, or threats to the safety of users.
Other Users. Public profiles, listings, and reviews can be viewed by other people. Messages, applications, bookings, and viewing requests share relevant information with the people or organizations involved in that interaction. Consider what you include in public content and in files you send to others.
Our providers may process information outside your country, including where their services and support teams operate. The protections and rights available can differ by location. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your personal information or to exercise your rights.
4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
In Short:We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
Our websites use cookies and similar technologies. Our mobile app uses device storage and built-in tools. Essential tools support sign-in, security, transactions, and remembering your privacy choices. On iOS, we currently offer optional product analytics only. On Android and the website, product analytics and marketing measurement have separate controls.
Product analytics. When analytics is enabled, we measure interactions such as searches, listing views, and feature use to improve Hauslet. We use PostHog for product analytics on the website and in supported mobile features. Activity may be associated with your account after you sign in.
Android campaign measurement. If you allow marketing measurement, we use Tenjin to understand which campaigns lead to app installs and activity. This can involve advertising or installation identifiers, campaign and referral information, and app and device information. We receive campaign information and may link it to your Hauslet account when you sign in to understand campaign results.
iOS privacy. On iOS, we currently do not use advertising attribution tools, collect advertising identifiers, or share app activity with advertising partners for ad targeting or measurement. This applies even if you previously allowed marketing measurement. Allowing product analytics does not enable advertising measurement.
Advertising partners. Our current and planned advertising integrations include Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, and Snapchat. On the website and Android, when marketing measurement is enabled and the required permissions are in place, we may share campaign-related registration, checkout, and purchase activity with these partners to measure and improve Hauslet advertising. Sharing may take place directly from Hauslet or through Tenjin for enabled Android partner integrations. Listing a partner here does not mean its integration is active on every platform or that it receives every event.
For this website and Android campaign measurement, shared information may include transaction value and currency, the relevant listing, campaign and click identifiers, advertising or installation identifiers, IP address, and browser, app or device information. Meta matching also uses coded versions of your name, email address, phone number, and account identifier. TikTok website conversion matching also uses coded email address, phone number, and account identifier, along with the page URL and campaign information. Snapchat website conversion matching uses click identifiers (ScCid) and pixel cookies (_scid) alongside registration, checkout, and purchase events. These codes can still be matched to a person; they do not make the information anonymous. Where a website campaign leads to an Android app install or activity, enabled web-to-app measurement may connect those interactions to understand campaign results, subject to your applicable website and app privacy choices.
Your choices on the website. In Europe, optional analytics and marketing stay off until you allow them. Outside Europe, they are enabled by default unless you turn them off or your browser sends a privacy signal. We use Cloudflare's approximate country information to select the default. If we cannot determine your region, optional tracking stays off until you choose. Open Privacy choices below to change either setting. Signing in does not change your saved choices.
Your choices in the app. On iOS, product analytics stays off until you allow it. Choose Allow analytics, Only necessary, or Manage preferences when first asked. We currently do not perform advertising measurement on iOS. On Android, optional analytics and marketing stay off until you allow them; advertising-identifier controls are also available in your device settings. You can browse, sign in, make enquiries, and book without enabling optional measurement.
In the app, open Profile → Privacy from the Account tab, or the Log in tab when signed out. Change your choices; iOS changes save automatically. On Android, select Save preferences. On the website, use the button below. These choices apply to the browser or device where you make them, so review them on each device you use. We remember your choices for up to 180 days.
Turning a choice off stops new optional collection for that purpose from this browser or device. It does not automatically delete information already received by Hauslet or its partners. To request deletion or exercise rights over that information, contact us using section 13.
On the website and Android, when you are signed in and connected, turning marketing measurement off also turns personalized offers off for your account and stops future account campaign reporting once the change reaches Hauslet. Turning account analytics off also stops that reporting. Offline account updates are retried when you reconnect. Other devices still have their own optional collection choices.
Offers and promotional communications. Account campaign reporting for the website and Android requires both your analytics and personalized-offers preferences. Our current iOS advertising practices do not automatically change your account-wide personalized-offer preferences or subscribe or unsubscribe you from promotional messages. Promotional emails and notifications have separate choices. Manage available account preferences in your settings, use the unsubscribe option in promotional emails, or contact us. Essential service messages, such as payment or security notices, may still be sent.
5. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?
In Short:We offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies.
We use AI to support property search, listing assistance, support, content moderation, and verification. The information processed depends on the feature you use.
Use of AI Technologies
Google's AI services, including Gemini, may process the search requests, listing content, support information, or verification documents and images relevant to the feature. AWS provides the facial liveness and matching checks described in section 3. Information in those materials may identify you or another person, so avoid including unrelated personal information.
Our AI Products
Our AI Products are designed for the following functions:
Understanding property searches and helping with listing content and support requests.
Reviewing submitted content and images for marketplace safety and policy compliance.
Reading verification documents and assessing identity, business, address, and property evidence.
How We Process Your Data Using AI
Automated assessments can be inaccurate. Hauslet reviewers may examine submitted material and assessment results. If you believe a verification or moderation decision is incorrect, contact support to request a review. These uses are separate from optional marketing measurement.
6. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
In Short:If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media or single sign-on (SSO) account details (like your Google, Apple, or Facebook logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your identity provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, unique identifier, and profile picture.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.
7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short:We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
Retention depends on the information and why it is needed. Account and marketplace records support your ongoing use of Hauslet. Payment, dispute, and fraud-prevention records may need to be retained after account deletion to meet legal obligations, resolve outstanding matters, or protect legal rights.
Verification evidence. Documents, images, and location evidence are retained to complete and review the verification and address fraud or disputes. Verification results and relevant identity details may remain part of your account after the original evidence is removed.
Analytics and campaign information. Detailed activity is retained for measurement and investigation of campaign results. Account-linked campaign summaries and records of measurement already performed may remain while your account is active. Turning off optional collection does not itself erase these records.
Provider records. Information already shared with a provider is subject to the applicable service terms, retention practices, and legal obligations. Contact us to request information about retention or assistance with deletion.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short:We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at hello@hauslet.com.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short:You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.
Withdrawing your consent: Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it. Use the Privacy controls described in section 4 for optional collection on your browser or device. For other consent-based processing, or questions about information already collected or shared, contact us using the details in below.
However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Account Information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
Log in to your account settings and update your user account.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at hello@hauslet.com.
10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
We honor Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals by disabling optional analytics and marketing tracking.
11. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
In Short:Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

Hauslet Solutions LTD
Plot 42, Chevron Drive Lekki

13. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?
Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please fill out and submit a data subject access request.
In the app, open Account Settings → Account management to request a downloadable copy of your data or permanently delete your account. You can also contact hello@hauslet.com about access, correction, or deletion without being signed in. When you request account deletion, a 30-day grace period begins — you are signed out immediately and your account is scheduled for erasure. Signing back in during that window cancels the deletion. After 30 days, account erasure begins and personal information is deleted or anonymised, except where we are required to retain limited records by applicable law (such as transaction and financial records). Deletion cannot be scheduled while an organization you solely own has outstanding activity or while your account holds a withdrawable balance. Resolve those obligations or contact support for assistance.
6. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
